It is small and light, even smaller and lighter than the Live, but it has a lot more specialized function and mode buttons (as well as some CV connections) just like the X. The One may be considered a hybrid of the hefty, top-of-the-line MPC X and the Live. It is a standalone music-making workstation that has a smaller form factor and incorporates features from other Akai devices to provide a cheaper MPC.
